QI Software is an indie games studio based in Calgary, Alberta, and our games reflect the beautiful landscapes of our province. We're currently working on our first project, Dead Matter, an open-world survival game that challenges players to survive the wilderness, zombies, and each other. Our studio is on the traditional lands of the Blackfoot confederacy: Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, as well as the Stoney Nakoda and Tsuut'ina nations. We also acknowledge that this territory is home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3. In the spirit of respect, reconciliation, and truth, the employees at QI Software want to acknowledge all nations that make their home on Treaty 7 land. We also want to honor and celebrate this land that gives us an opportunity to live, work, and play. QI Games was founded in 2017 by Nikolas Zorko. We began our journey through crowdfunding a project titled Dead Matter. Since our inception, we’ve been working on this large open-world survival game. In 2020, we launched our Closed Alpha version of Dead Matter to our backers. This allowed our community an early look at the progress we’ve made. After we received feedback on the alpha version of the game, we expanded our studio so we could make the push forward to an early access release. We’re still working on Dead Matter and moving close to an Early Access build.
