Prismata Goes Free on Steam Today and Unveils New Trailer

September 26, 2018 -- Prismata, the hybrid strategy card game, goes free-to-play on Steam today. A new trailer highlights the positive reception the game has received so far, from veteran card game players and games media alike.
Prismata is a non-collectible card game with zero pay-to-win microtransactions. Unlike typical CCGs, where players must purchase hundreds of card packs to obtain a viable collection for high-level play, Prismata provides all players with an equal opportunity to succeed by giving them unfettered access to every unit in the game. Lunarch Studios are committed to upholding an ethical business model where it is impossible to pay for any advantage in competitive play. Additionally, Prismata's lack of RNG (randomness) means that each player's success depends solely on their cleverness and skill. "Almost nothing comes close to achieving this level of polish, depth, and replayability," says retired StarCraft pro-gamer and game designer Kevin "qxc" Riley.
Prismata was developed by a team of MIT math students and funded by an enigmatic poker millionaire who loved the game so much that he became the driving force in bringing it to a commercial release. Informed by deck builders and tabletop strategy games, Prismata requires you to build a powerful cybernetic army to outsmart and devastate your foes in a series of rapid-fire turns.
