Squad Update 4.0 Brings 10th Faction in Free Update With Bombastic New Trailer
Posted December 07, 2022New Westminster, Canada - December 7, 2022 — Offworld Industries is excited to share that the latest update for Squad — Update 4.0: Red Star Rising — is now available to download on Steam. This update adds the People’s Liberation Army which includes vehicles and armaments unique to this new faction, a brand new menu track from composer Scott Tobin, and more.
As seen in the trailer, the People’s Liberation Army brings a wealth of new gear and tools for Squad players along with the faction’s rocket strike ability. This action-packed trailer showcases a glimpse of the incredibly dynamic conflict players experience in the massive 50 versus 50 battlefields. The addition of the world’s largest armed force brings another style of play, further adding to one of gaming's definitive multiplayer games.

After setting a strong foundation throughout Early Access, the acclaimed shooter launched into v1.0 in 2020 and continued to deliver.
