Tanks for the Memories: New Volcanoids Update adds Tanks, Drones, & More

Prague, Czech Republic, September 29th, 2022 — Volcanoid, the titular team behind steampunk shooter-survival game Volcanoids, is thrilled to announce their next big update. Reinforcements have arrived in the form of tank enemies, reconnaissance drones, three brand-new guns, and a host of other armaments, all of which come included in the Heavy Machinery Update, available today!

Featuring designs like the fearsome attack tank, the mining-capable deployment tank, and the material-carrying transporter tank, these new enemies will upend the battlefield, requiring players to devise new combat strategies. Joining them will be a fleet of recon drones both small and large, capable of ground patrol as well as aerial assault.

But the opponent isn’t the only one upgrading their arsenal. The new update will introduce three new craftable weapons for players to wreak havoc: the Lewis machine gun, the Mauser C96 automatic pistol, and the Lee Enfield bolt action rifle. Inspired by their real-life counterparts, these weapons will coexist alongside existing weapons, with the original set of guns being rebalanced as part of the update. In addition, players will gain the support of anti-air turrets, capable of defending the drillship from flying enemies as well as ground units, to keep perimeters safe.

Volcanoid is an independent, Prague-based studio named after its first title. With Volcanoids, the team is looking to bring something truly new and unique to the survival genre fans while adhering to the open-development philosophy.
